Responsibilities

  1. Legal Guardian
    • 24/7 Emergency Contact: in event of any accident or illness requiring attention and liaison with schools or specialists, he will be on hand, or Bonas Macfarlane or Mentor in the event of Student being overseas.
    • Overall co-ordinator & supervisor of schooling.
    • Liaise with Housemaster/Housemistress to ensure that student is integrated, busy and focused, making friends and not being bullied.
    • Visit student once per term.
    • Organise all travel arrangements that may be requested.
    • Ongoing organisation of activities and accommodation for holidays, weekends, Sundays out etc.
    • Arrange Exeat "Home stays" – with Mentor in attendance.
    • Sending items to school when required by student at short notice.
    • Liaison with drivers to ensure proper & safe transfers etc.
  2. Bonas Macfarlane- View website
    • Deliver four year plan, aiming to culminate in successful Ivy League or Oxbridge entrance. So, university counselling, advice on A Level subject choices, preparing for applications by devising effective use of time in holidays, investigating university courses etc.
    • Minimum of two visits to chosen School per term.
    • Weekly contact with Student via phone and email and contact when in on exeats and holidays.
    • Organise all tuition as needed.
    • Liaise with teachers when required. Attend parents meetings.
    • Additional input in GCSE term with university applications.
  3. Mentors - View Mentoring
    • To act as back-up to Legal Guardian & Bonas Macfarlane in emergencies or when out of country.
    • To communicate with students as a younger Mentor / friend, and assist with the motivation, confidence of building.

Fees

Termly Fees of £5K (five thousand pounds sterling or equivalent) are payable in advance. This fee includes everything less:

  • Home stays @ £100 per day.
  • Additional tutoring @ £50 per hour.
  • Any ‘extras’ incurred for activities that take place away from Home stays.(eg. Theatre tickets, restaurant meals, tennis, driving, shooting lessons etc)
  • Reasonable mileage, taxi or train fares incurred visiting student at school.
